Safia has been practicing law for over 20 years. Her career and practice are focused on the development, expansion and protection of brands. Safia has experience in a wide array of intellectual property, brand management and commercial agreements, including, licenses, influencer agreements, advertising agreements, co-existence agreements, collaboration agreements, sponsorships/endorsements, website development agreements, manufacturing agreements, and distribution agreements.  When IP due diligence is needed in connection with various financial transactions, Safia will step in and ensure all considerations are met, including the handling of any related IP transfers. 

Safia also has significant experience managing domestic and international trademark portfolios of all sizes. She counsels clients regarding the selection, filing, maintenance and enforcement of trademarks and copyrights throughout the world and advises clients with regard to advertising and protection of their brands.  Safia also has significant experience with intellectual property enforcement matters, intellectual property litigation, and trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the TTAB.

Justin started his legal career over 17 years ago at Proskauer Rose in New York City in the litigation and corporate defense and investigations groups where he represented clients in connection with a wide range of matters, including intellectual property, contract disputes, foreclosures, bankruptcy, and antitrust. After Proskauer, he continued honing his legal skills at a small, New York boutique law firm.

In 2017, Justin transitioned to in-house practice, first at a private educational organization and then, most recently, a large, international public technology company where he provided guidance to management and oversaw projects covering a diverse range of subject matter areas, including but not limited to employment, client and vendor contracts, insurance, intellectual property, litigation, and real estate.

In his in-house roles, Justin quickly became a trusted advisor to senior leadership and will strive to continue inspiring that confidence in his clients as he shifts back to private practice.

In his spare time, Justin travels as much as he can to experience new cultures and cuisines. If he is not traveling, he is at home cooking, baking, and honing his cookie artistry skills.

Alan has extensive corporate and commercial law expertise. Before joining Henries PLLC, Nick spent a decade as General Counsel and Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs at Fresh, Inc. (LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics), a multinational luxury skincare company and wholly owned subsidiary of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. In that role, Nick led the legal and regulatory functions for the business, supporting the company through multiple years of double‑digit growth, international expansion, and evolving regulatory landscapes. His work included complex commercial transactions, intellectual property strategy and enforcement, employment matters, litigation management, real estate and retail leasing, cosmetics regulation, corporate governance, and crisis response.

Earlier in his career, Nick served as Associate General Counsel at Sharp Electronics Corporation, where he advised senior executives and business unit leaders on technology transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and significant real estate transactions. He also practiced as a Trademark Attorney at The Trademark Group and as a Litigation Associate at Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek, gaining courtroom and arbitration experience in complex business disputes. Prior to attending law school, Nick worked in the talent industry at William Morris Agency, providing him with early exposure to the commercial realities of creative and consumer‑facing businesses.

At Henries PLLC, Nick partners closely with founders, executives, and in‑house teams, delivering practical, business‑oriented legal advice that enables growth while thoughtfully managing risk. He is known for distilling complex legal issues into clear guidance that aligns legal strategy with commercial objectives.

Nick holds a J.D. and M.B.A. from Marquette University and a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice law in New York and California.

After working as a consultant with an edtech startup based in Shanghai and more recently as an IT project manager with Intercontinental Hotels Group, Monique missed the energy and excitement of growing and building businesses with a high-impact team.

In 2020, she founded Outlyned Strategies and now works intimately with founders executing operational visions and creating efficiencies to optimize company growth.
